Ho Wood, a member of the camphor tree family, is one of Japan’s oldest wood for essential oils, with cultivation beginning in Kagoshima shortly after World War II.
The camphor tree (Cinnamomum camphora) is the official tree of Kagoshima Prefecture, and Ho Wood essential oil is carefully extracted from trees grown at the foot of the Satsuma Peninsula. By utilizing every part of the plant, this production process honors nature’s gifts and contributes to the preservation of Kagoshima’s rich natural environment.
